If you happen to come down with the sniffles, take a ride down to SF's Richmond district and heal thyself. Go to Kwok Hong Chinese Herbs on Balboa at 34th avenue. They sell a slew of Chinese herbs, and perform acupuncture. The acupuncturist is as nice a man as you will ever meet, and a trained doctor from China. It's not a fancy place, very functional, but for $35 for an acupuncture treatment, you can't go wrong. I left tonight feeling blissed out, having passed out on the table, in spite of the chatter from the front of the store.
I took a picture of him in the store, but he insisted that he was ugly, and had me snap a shot of his dapper graduation photo.

After acupuncture, treat yourself to a big hot bowl of Vietnam's tastiest comfort food. Americana Grill & Fountain (Italian and Vietnamese food) at 3532 Balboa Street and 35th Avenue has some of the tastiest, freshest pho around. I've only had the Vietnamese food, so don't hold me responsible if you hate the lasagana. Check out the selection of condiments: Hoisin to A1 and everything in between. Tell Helen I sent you!

Children's Book Idea

My friend and I are thinking of collaborating on a children's book. I'm excited about the idea, because the lead character gets to kick monster ass. Here are some early rough sketches. I'm also wondering what medium to use for this project. I'm going to experiment with watercolor, gouache, colored pencils and pastels.
